Description

The Crelvane Floor Lamp is a tall tripod design. Three slim black steel legs cross just beneath a wide black fabric drum shade, and the inside of that shade is lined in copper. It stands 151.5cm tall and is 51cm in diameter, so it holds its own in a room as a proper piece of furniture rather than a small accent. It takes a single E27 bulb up to a maximum of 60W, and the bulb is not included, so you choose the brightness and colour of light yourself. Its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry living spaces.

We think it is at its best beside a sofa or a reading chair in a living room, where the shade sends light down across a book or a side table. It suits a bedroom corner or a study just as well. With the lamp off, the black shade and legs look calm and graphic; once a bulb is lit, the copper lining gives the light a warmer, golden tone and a bright band at the inner edge of the shade. Because the three slender legs take up so little visual space, it sits neatly in a corner without crowding the room.

The frame is steel finished in black, and the black fabric drum shade has a copper lining. A foot switch controls the lamp, which is handy when it stands behind a chair or your hands are full. It runs on 220-240V at 50/60Hz. Packed, it weighs 3.681KG, so one person can manage the box without help.
