The Cralette is a slim pendant light with a cylindrical shade of smoked glass, hung on a fine cord from a round ceiling canopy in satin nickel. The canopy and the short stem are steel, and the shade is vaporised glass, black yet transparent, so it reads as a dark, mirrored tube when unlit and lets the bulb glow softly through the glass whenever it is lit. It measures 10cm across with an overall height of 110cm, and takes a single E27 bulb of up to 15W, which is not included. Rated IP20, it belongs indoors in a dry room.

At just 10cm across, it suits spots where a wide shade would crowd the space: over a dining table, in a corner of the living room beside the sofa, or above a side table where you want a pool of light without a lamp taking up room on the floor. The smoked glass softens the brightness of the bulb, which makes it a good choice for rooms where you sit, eat and talk.
