Description

Country Floral is a printed rug that brings a meadow of wild flowers to the floor. Soft pink blooms, deeper rose clusters, dusky blue sprays and slender green stems rise across a natural beige ground, the colours washed and gentle like a watercolour sketch. The pattern is digitally printed, so the shading between the petals stays soft and painterly. It is made from 100% polyester, and its romantic look suits a home that leans towards the pretty and relaxed.

The Natural colourway sits happily on wooden floors and beside pink or pale painted walls. It comes in five sizes. The two runners, 61 by 170cm and 76 by 230cm, are made for a hallway or landing, or the strip of floor beside a bed. A 76 by 150cm rug fits in front of a console table, a fireplace or a dressing table. The 122 by 170cm and 152 by 230cm sizes are large enough to sit in front of a sofa in a living room or at the foot of a bed.

Care is simple: the rug is washable, so a spilt drink in the living room or a muddy footprint in the hallway need not mean a trip to the cleaner. That settles the question many people ask before choosing a light rug for a busy room. Before you order, measure the space and allow a border of bare floor around the edges, which helps any rug look settled. On wooden or tiled floors, an anti-slip underlay is worth adding to keep it in place.
