Description

Clear K9 crystal and polished nickel, worked at a small scale for the wall. Two candle lamps on E14 sockets sit behind the crystal, so the output is spread across the piece rather than gathered into one bright point, and the clear glass throws it back in flecks. At 22cm across and much the same in height, with a shallow projection, it stays close to the wall and well out of the way of a passing shoulder.

This is a light for spots where a lamp on a table is not an option: either side of a bedhead, flanking a mirror in a dressing room, or paced along a hallway where you want something bright at eye level. We would fit LED candle lamps here, and if you like the level to come down of an evening, choose dimmable ones and pair them with a suitable dimmer. It comes unswitched, so it works from the wall switch, which suits a pair wired to run together.

The nickel is polished to a mirror finish and the crystal is clear right through, a good grade that holds its sparkle without any coloured cast. Dust is the only real enemy: a dry lint-free cloth over the crystal now and then, and the same over the metal, with the power off and the lamps cold. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, away from bathroom splash zones. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the same wall light in antique brass, and the range carries on into semi-flush ceiling lights and pendants for halls and dining rooms. Lamps are not included.
