Description

Spun aluminium in a warm brass finish gives our Cornet Brass Pendant Lampshade its quiet presence, whether it hangs above a dining table or over a favourite reading corner. The shade is formed from two curved planes that wrap into a cone, one face in slate and the other in brass, meeting along an open spiral edge that keeps the whole thing feeling light rather than solid. It measures 13.4cm wide and 23.8cm tall, with a depth of 12.4cm, so it holds its shape without dominating a smaller space. At just 0.24kg, it is easy to lift into place and adjust once you have found the right drop.

This pendant lampshade is built around a single, considered specification. You get the slate and brass pairing exactly as shown, with the spiralling open edge letting light escape sideways as well as down. That open form means the brightness is softer and more directional than a fully closed shade, casting gentle pools rather than one flat wash. We think it suits kitchen islands, hallways and bedside positions equally well, and it works nicely in a row of two or three where the curved planes can echo one another along a length of worktop.

Fitting it is quick, with an assembly time of around 2min and a short video to follow if you would rather watch than read. It is compatible with E27 fittings and takes a max 15W LED bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the warmth that suits your room, from a cosy 2700K upward.
