Description

The Corinne is a 286mm orb chandelier with three E14 candle bulbs suspended inside an open-frame sphere of polished nickel metal bands. The bulbs mount on a central polished nickel hub, appearing to float within the curved frame without additional shades or diffusers. A matching polished nickel ceiling canopy conceals the wiring, and a chain allows adjustment between 508mm and 1988mm drop on installation.

Designed for breakfast nooks, entrance halls, bedrooms and bathrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Corinne provides ambient lighting through exposed bulbs rather than task-focused downlight. The 286mm diameter suits rooms where a larger chandelier would dominate the sightlines, particularly over circular dining tables under 1m diameter or in compact hallways. The open frame means light disperses in all directions rather than being focused downward, so the fitting acts as a central decorative and ambient source rather than a reading or work light.

The polished nickel finish reflects surrounding light and picks up warm or cool tones depending on the room's palette and the colour temperature of the bulbs installed. The curved metal bands are smoothly welded at their intersections and show minimal visible fixings, giving the orb a clean profile when viewed from any angle. The Corinne takes three E14 candle bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a warm ambient glow, or clear filament-style bulbs where the bulbs are visible.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs installed. LED E14 candle bulbs labelled 'dimmable' will work with most trailing-edge dimmers. Halogen and incandescent E14 bulbs are inherently dimmable with standard rotary or slide dimmers.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 508mm plus the 356mm fitting height requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m to avoid the chandelier sitting below typical head height. The chain adjusts up to 1988mm for rooms with higher ceilings where a longer drop is preferred.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Corinne carries no IP rating and is designed for dry interior use. It can be installed in bathrooms only if positioned outside splash zones (Zone 0, Zone 1, Zone 2), typically meaning above a vanity area away from the bath or shower enclosure.
