Description

The Kichler Cora is a 2 light bathroom wall light combining clear ribbed glass shades with polished chrome metalwork and an IP44 moisture rating. Each of the two bell-shaped shades has vertical ribbing on the outer surface and an etched interior that diffuses the light from the included 3W LED G9 bulbs, casting soft illumination across vanity mirrors and bathroom walls.

Designed for over-mirror or flanking-mirror installation in bathrooms, the Cora mounts on a horizontal polished chrome bar backplate measuring 406mm wide. The two arched arms curve upward from this bar, suspending the ribbed glass shades at a height that directs light downward and outward across typical vanity heights of 800-900mm from floor to worktop. The IP44 rating makes the fitting suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, where splashing water is possible but direct jets are not expected.

The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light and pairs with chrome taps, towel rails and mirror frames common in contemporary and classical bathrooms. The combination of metal and ribbed glass gives the fitting a 241mm height and 186mm projection from the wall, so it suits bathrooms with at least 300mm of clear space above the mirror. The included 3000K LED bulbs provide warm white task light suitable for shaving, makeup and grooming without the cooler clinical tone of 4000K+ fittings.

The IP44 rating makes the Cora suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, where splashing water is possible but direct water jets are not expected. It is not rated for use directly above a bath or shower (zone 1) or inside a shower enclosure (zone 0).

Are the bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting comes with two 3W LED G9 bulbs at 3000K. These are standard G9 cap bulbs and can be replaced with any G9 LED bulb up to 3W. The ribbed glass shades unscrew from the chrome fitting to access the bulb holders.

What mirror width does the 406mm bar suit?

The 406mm-wide backplate works well centred above mirrors between 600-900mm wide, providing balanced illumination across the vanity area. For wider mirrors, consider mounting two Cora fittings flanking the mirror instead of one centred above.

Can the fitting be mounted vertically?

The Cora is designed for horizontal mounting with the two shades hanging downward from the bar. Vertical mounting would alter the light distribution and is not recommended by Kichler.
