Description

The Cool is a 380mm diameter table lamp moulded from matt white polyethylene into a mushroom-shaped sculptural form, with a bulbous base supporting a gently curved conical shade. Two E27 bulbs sit inside the hollow form—one in the base, one in the shade—casting diffused light through the translucent polyethylene in both directions. The lamp stands 540mm tall and weighs 3.2kg, giving it a substantial presence on side tables, console units and low shelving.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and lounge areas where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Cool provides soft indirect light that diffuses through the entire white form when lit. The polyethylene acts as the diffuser, so no separate shade or glass is needed—the material itself glows when the bulbs are on. The seamless moulded construction means no visible seams, joints or assembly lines interrupt the smooth surface.

The matt white finish absorbs rather than reflects room light during the day, so the lamp reads as a white sculptural object when switched off. When lit, the dual E27 bulbs (sold separately) create balanced illumination from both the base and the shade, preventing the heavy shadow that single-bulb designs can cast.
