Description

The Cool is a 1.8m outdoor floor lamp with a matt white polyethylene column and opal white diffuser shade, housing two E27 bulb sockets. The upper diffuser casts light upwards while a lower section directs light downwards, creating a balanced wash of ambient light across patios, terraces and poolside seating areas. The IP65 rating protects internal components from water jets and dust ingress, allowing the lamp to remain outdoors year-round in UK weather.

Designed for exterior spaces where a fixed wall or ceiling fitting is impractical, the Cool sits on a weighted circular base of approximately 520mm diameter, providing stability without requiring ground anchoring. The 22.5kg weight resists tipping in moderate wind but can still be moved between locations as needed. IP65 protects against dust ingress and water jets from any direction. The Cool can withstand rain, hosing down during cleaning, and being left outdoors permanently. It is not submersible and should not be placed where it will sit in standing water.

What bulbs does it take?

The lamp takes two E27 bulbs (sold separately), with no maximum wattage restriction given. Choose based on the brightness and temperature needed. Most users pair it with 8-12W warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K-3000K for ambient patio lighting.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E27 LED bulbs and a compatible outdoor dimmer. The lamp itself does not include dimming controls. The dimmer must be installed in the mains circuit.

Is the lamp stable in wind?
