Description
The Coniston is a 1580mm crystal floor lamp built around a slender French gold column with a 360mm hemispherical dome shade made from hundreds of individual clear crystal droplets arranged in cascading tiers. Three E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the dome, and when lit the crystals refract light into the surrounding space while the French gold finish warms the reflected light.
Designed for formal living rooms, hotel lobbies, master bedrooms and period homes with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Coniston pairs ambient light output with decorative presence. The 12.5kg weight anchors the lamp securely on both hard floors and rugs, and the circular base footprint of approximately 200mm sits comfortably alongside sofas, between armchairs or in room corners where the lamp head becomes a focal point at eye level when seated.
Each crystal droplet is individually hung on the metal frame, creating a tiered cascade effect that shows different levels of refraction depending on viewing angle. The French gold finish is a warmer, slightly antiqued tone compared to polished brass or bright gold, giving the frame a softer presence under daylight and pairing well with warm neutrals, deep reds and traditional wood furniture. The lamp is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing the crystal sparkle to be modulated from soft background glow to full brilliance.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Coniston takes three E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 20W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a warm glow that complements the French gold finish.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The lamp itself supports dimming, but both the bulbs and the wall dimmer must also be rated for dimming.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool completely. Wipe individual crystal droplets with a dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the crystals or using spray cleaners that can leave residue on the facets.
What ceiling height is needed?
The lamp stands 1580mm tall with a 360mm dome at the top. Rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above give the lamp enough vertical clearance to sit comfortably without the shade appearing cramped against the ceiling.
