Description

Congo is a printed rug that covers the floor in layer upon layer of leaves, drawn in deep greens and blues with small flashes of ochre and rust among them. In the Jungle colourway the ground is dark and shadowy, with paler sage and soft aqua leaves picked out over it, so the design reads like looking up into a canopy of foliage. It is digitally printed, which keeps the fine detail of each leaf crisp and the shading soft, and it is made from polyester throughout.

It looks wonderful in a living room, where the rich greens sit happily beside warm mustard and caramel tones and pale walls. The 76 by 150cm size works in front of a fireplace or beside a bed, and 120 by 170cm anchors a coffee table in a smaller seating area. The 152 by 230cm and 185 by 290cm sizes sit comfortably under the front of a sofa and chairs, or under a bed with floor to spare at the sides.
