Description

Our Colour Changing LED Strip Light is a slim ribbon of light: a white, flexible strip 2000cm long and 1cm wide, with small LEDs set at regular intervals along its length. The LEDs are integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It carries an IP20 rating, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, well away from water and steam. The full strip weighs just 0.33KG, so it is easy to handle as you lay out the run.

Because the strip is so slim, it tucks out of sight and lets the light do the work. We like it along the back of a bookcase, under a floating shelf, around the top of a wardrobe or behind a headboard, where the glow washes the wall rather than catching the eye. In a living room it can run behind a media unit to give a soft wash of colour at the end of the day. Colour changing light suits anyone who likes to set the mood for a film night or a quiet evening without buying new lamps, and the generous length means one strip can reach right round an alcove or across a wide run of shelving.

The LEDs are built into the strip and are not replaceable, and the strip has no driver of its own. There is no switch on the strip itself: it is switched at the wall, so it comes on and goes off with the room's existing switch. For care, a light dusting with a soft, dry cloth keeps the LEDs clear; keep water and damp cloths well away, in keeping with its dry indoor rating.
