Description

The Clifton is a 58mm-diameter cylindrical pendant light with a matt black exterior and a gold-painted interior, built around an integrated 7W 3000K LED producing 770 lumens through a focused 38° beam angle. The narrow cylinder extends vertically from a matching black ceiling canopy on an adjustable cable that can be set between 380mm and 2900mm drop depending on ceiling height and installation requirements.

Designed for task lighting over kitchen islands, breakfast bars, countertops and reception desks, the Clifton directs light downwards rather than diffusing it across a room. The 38° beam creates a defined pool of warm white light on the work surface below, making it suitable for food preparation zones or bar seating where concentrated illumination is needed without spill into surrounding areas. The narrow 58mm diameter allows multiple Clifton pendants to be installed in a row above an island or counter without visual clutter.

The gold interior reflects and warms the LED output as it passes through the open base of the cylinder, adding a subtle bronze cast to the light pool beneath. The matt black finish on the exterior reduces glare and reflections under daylight and pairs with both contemporary monochrome kitchens and warmer timber or brass-accented interiors. At 0.65kg the pendant is light enough to hang on standard ceiling roses without additional structural support.

Is the Clifton dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is rated at 7W and does not support dimmer compatibility. If you need dimmable task lighting, contact us for alternative pendant options.

What ceiling height is needed?

The pendant can be adjusted between 380mm and 2900mm drop during installation. For a kitchen island or bar counter, a typical installation would set the pendant 700-900mm above the worktop, which requires a ceiling height of approximately 2.4m or above depending on the exact counter height.

How many Clifton pendants are needed above a kitchen island?

The 38° beam angle creates a focused pool of light rather than broad coverage. For a typical 2m-long island, three Clifton pendants spaced 600-700mm apart would provide even task lighting across the surface. Longer islands may need four or five.

Can the cable length be shortened after installation?

Yes. The suspension cable is adjustable and can be shortened or lengthened within the 380-2900mm range. Any excess cable tucks into the ceiling canopy.
