Description
The Clenvarne is a dome-shaped pendant light in an antique copper finish, made from steel and hung on a dark cord from a matching ceiling rose. The outside has a mottled, aged look, with darker patches across the copper colour, while the inside of the shade is white, a crisp contrast to the warm metal tone. It measures 37cm across and 110cm tall overall, so it reads clearly over a table without crowding the room. It takes a single E27 bulb up to a maximum of 60W, and the bulb is not included. Its IP20 rating settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms.
We see it most often over a dining table or a kitchen island, where the open dome faces the surface and the copper finish brings warmth to the room even before the bulb is lit. It suits a home with an industrial or farmhouse feel, with wooden tables and dark metal chairs, and it sits just as comfortably in a plainer modern kitchen that needs a warmer note. At 37cm across, a single pendant is well matched to a small table, while a row of them suits a longer table or a breakfast bar. It gives you a focal point and useful light in one fitting.
The body is steel, finished in an antique copper colour, with a stepped crown above the dome where the cord meets the shade. There is no switch on the light itself, so it runs from the wall switch in the room. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a PDF download. It runs on 220 to 240V and weighs 1.584KG packed. When you choose a bulb, pick an E27 of no more than 60W; a warm white bulb sits well with the copper colour and keeps the room cosy through the evening.

Frequently Asked
Can the Clenvarne go in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. It is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in dry rooms such as a dining room, kitchen or living room, and never in a bathroom or a garden.
Which bulb does it take?
It takes one E27 bulb with a maximum of 60W. The bulb is not included, so choose one separately before the light is fitted.
How big is the shade?
The shade is 37cm across, and the whole light, ceiling rose included, is 110cm tall overall, which suits most dining and kitchen tables.
Is the finish real copper?
The body is steel with an antique copper colour finish, giving a mottled, aged look outside, while the inside of the shade is white.
Does it have its own switch?
No, there is no switch on the light itself. It is switched at the wall, so it works from the light switch in the room.
