Description
This is a pack of three clear glass LED bulbs in the vintage teardrop shape, each one 14.2cm long and 6.4cm across at its widest. Through the clear glass you can see straight filaments held in a small cage, so the bulb looks the part even while unlit. Each bulb has a standard E27 screw cap, draws 4W and gives 470 lumens of cool white light at 4000K. They are rated IP20, which settles where they belong: indoors, in dry rooms, in fittings kept well away from damp and steam.
Cool white at 4000K is a crisp, clear light rather than the amber glow many people expect from a vintage bulb, so these suit places where you want to see well: a kitchen pendant, a desk lamp, a home office or a hallway. Because the glass is clear, the shape shows off nicely in an open pendant, a cage shade or a bare lampholder, where a frosted bulb would hide it. Buying three together means a row of pendants over a kitchen island or a dining table can match, with the same light and the same look from each one.
These bulbs are not dimmable, so put them in a light worked by an ordinary switch and keep them clear of dimmer circuits. They run at 220 to 240V, 50/60Hz, the standard household mains supply, and carry an E energy class rating. To keep the glass bright and clear, wipe it with a soft dry cloth once the light is switched off at the wall and the bulb has cooled. Before you order, check that your lamp or pendant takes an E27 screw cap and has room for a bulb 14.2cm long.

Frequently Asked
Can I use these bulbs with a dimmer switch?
No. The bulbs are not dimmable, so they belong in a light worked by an ordinary switch rather than one on a dimmer.
What colour is the light?
Cool white, at a colour temperature of 4000K. It is a crisp, clear white, cooler in tone than the amber glow of a traditional filament bulb.
Which cap do the bulbs have?
Each bulb has an E27 screw cap, the large standard screw cap used by many pendants, table lamps and floor lamps.
How bright is each bulb?
Each bulb gives 470 lumens of cool white light while drawing 4W, and there are three bulbs in every pack.
Can these bulbs go in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. They are rated IP20, which means indoors and dry only, so keep them to dry rooms such as living rooms, bedrooms and hallways.
How big are the bulbs?
Each bulb is 14.2cm long and 6.4cm across at its widest point, so check that your fitting or shade has room for that length.
