Description

This is a pack of three clear LED globe bulbs, each a round glass globe 8cm in diameter and 12cm long. Each one has an E27 screw cap, the large standard screw fitting that a great many table lamps, floor lamps and pendants take, and draws 4W to give 470 lumens of light. The colour temperature is 4000K, a cool light that reads crisp and clear rather than warm and yellow. The bulbs are rated IP20, and that settles where they belong: indoors, in dry rooms, inside lamps and fittings kept away from water.

Because the glass is clear, the filaments become part of the look, so these bulbs come into their own wherever the bulb is on show: a bare pendant over a kitchen table, an open cage shade, a wall light with no diffuser or a lamp with a clear glass shade. The cool white suits rooms where you want to see clearly, such as a kitchen, a home office, a study, a utility room or a hallway. With three in one pack, a run of pendants over an island or a pair of matching lamps all give the same colour of light, and nothing looks mismatched.

Each bulb is a clear glass globe on a silver-coloured metal screw cap, with the LED filaments held upright inside the glass. They run on mains voltage of 220-240V, 50/60Hz. They are not dimmable, so we would fit them to a lamp or light worked by an ordinary on/off switch rather than one controlled by a dimmer. The energy class is E, and the pack weighs 0.185KG. Before you order, check that your lamp holder takes an E27 cap and that the shade has room for a globe 12cm long and 8cm in diameter.
