Open-plan kitchens and calm hallways are exactly where our Clava Up Wood Ceiling/Wall Light Large in Oak feels most at home. Seen from below, it reads like a spoked wheel: many fine wooden slats radiate outward from a solid oak centre disc, giving a warm, natural focal point that never feels heavy overhead. We chose this design because it sits flush against the surface it mounts to, so it works just as happily on a ceiling as it does on a wall. The pale oak tone keeps things light and grounded, making it a gentle fit for living spaces, reading corners and quieter rooms where you want texture without clutter.

At 49cm in diameter and 16.6cm in height, the Large size gives us a generous circle of warmth while staying neat against the surface. It weighs 2.2kg and is made from oak, ash and laminated veneer, so the fine radiating slats hold their form while keeping the whole fitting reassuringly light for a piece of this width. This is a surface mounted lamp, and assembly is straightforward: around five minutes with the help of our assembly video. The lamp is compatible with E27 fittings and takes a maximum 15W LED G40 bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the tone and brightness that suits the room.
