Description

Five lamp holders spread along a slender black frame, so the light arrives as a soft row rather than a single point. The E27 sockets are made for tubular T45 LED lamps, and that is what we would fit: the long slim glass suits the plain rustic frame and keeps the whole piece light on the eye. An inline switch sits on the flex, which puts control within easy reach on a table top, and the lamp will dim if you pair the right lamps with a dimmer.

Standing 64cm tall and stretching wide across its base, this is furniture-scale lighting rather than something for a bedside table. We would set it on a long sideboard, a hall console or a broad window ledge where it has room to spread, and it earns its place in rooms with exposed timber, brick or quiet painted walls. It suits anyone after a warmer, more workshop-like look than a shaded lamp gives, and because the lamps are on show, your choice of glass does as much for the effect as the frame does.
