Description

This is a big, round decorative lamp with a slim LED filament curving inside an amber-tinted globe, and it is meant to be seen. The tint softens the light and warms it further, so at 1800K the glow sits close to candlelight rather than ordinary warm white. It draws only 8W, screws into a standard E27 lampholder, and measures 20cm across the globe, which is generous enough to read as a shape in its own right when the fitting leaves the lamp on show.

We would use it in an open pendant on a long flex over a dining table, in a cluster of two or three above a kitchen island, or in a bare-holder fitting in a hallway or over a bar. It suits anyone who wants a low, amber light to sit in the evening rather than a bright working glow, and it is one we reach for in rooms where the lamp itself does the decorating. It is dimmable on a compatible dimmer, so the light can be pulled right down for late evenings, though the dimmer itself is bought separately.
