Description

A decorative globe lamp with a rose gold mirrored crown sitting above a clear lower half, so the light leaves the bulb softly rather than in a hard point. The 80mm globe reads as neatly rounded rather than oversized, and the tinted top gives the fitting a warm blush of colour even when it is switched off. At 4W the draw is small, and the 2700K warm white tone sits close to the old filament lamps most rooms were designed around.

We keep this one for fittings where the bulb is part of the look: an open shade, a bare-flex pendant over a kitchen island, a cluster above a stairwell, or a bedside lamp whose shade sits high. It screws into any standard E27 holder, and because it dims, we would pair it with a table lamp or pendant on a suitable dimmer so evening levels can be pulled right back. A compatible dimmer is needed for that, and one is not supplied with the bulb.

The rose gold finish runs across the top of the globe and fades out towards the clear section below, so the shape stays legible from underneath. It runs on ordinary household mains and is intended for indoor rooms. Keep it clean by switching off, letting it cool, then dusting the globe with a dry lint-free cloth; skip sprays and polishes, which mark a tinted surface. It carries a three year warranty.
