Description

This Citronic microphone lead runs XLR female to XLR male over 12 metres, giving you plenty of reach between a mic and your mixer or stage box. It carries balanced signals, which helps keep unwanted noise and interference out of longer runs. The full shielding and pure copper conductors are there to give you clean, reliable sound whether you are recording, performing live, or setting up a PA.

We have built this lead to hold up to regular use. The rubberised outer jacket is soft to the grip and designed to resist tangling, so coiling and uncoiling between gigs stays easy. Cotton reinforcement adds strength inside the cable, and the connections are machine-soldered for consistency. The XLR connectors are die-cast with a locking mechanism, so the plug stays put once it is seated and will not drop out mid-set.

The cable measures 6mm in diameter and uses 20 x 0.08mm conductors. Wiring follows the standard balanced pin-out: pin 1 is ground, pin 2 is hot, and pin 3 is cold. In the UK a lead like this is usually called a mic lead, while in the US you may see it referred to as a mic cable. The blue jacket makes it easy to pick out your cabling when you are colour-coding a rig or working across a busy stage.
