Description

This Citronic audio lead runs from a female XLR connector to a 6.3mm stereo TRS jack plug, giving you a balanced signal path over a 3.0 metre length. The jack plug and connectors are die-cast for a solid feel and dependable contact, and the whole lead is shielded to help keep interference out of your signal. It suits stage, studio and general connection jobs where you need to link an XLR output to jack input.

We build the lead with high-grade cable, using pure copper conductors and cotton reinforcement for strength inside the jacket. The outer is a soft-grip, anti-tangle rubberised jacket that stays flexible and coils away neatly at the end of a session. Connections are machine-soldered, which keeps them consistent and reduces the weak points you can get with hand work. The cable measures 6mm in diameter, with a 15 strand 0.1mm pure copper conductor.

The 6.3mm TRS jack is often called a quarter-inch jack in the US, and TRS stands for tip-ring-sleeve, the three-contact design that carries a balanced or stereo signal. This lead pairs a standard female XLR with that jack, so it fits mixers, active speakers, DI boxes and interfaces that use these fittings. At 3.0 metres it gives useful reach without leaving too much slack to manage, and the reliable construction means it holds up to regular use.
