Description

This Citronic audio lead connects a female XLR to a 6.3mm stereo TRS jack plug, giving you a balanced link between mixers, active speakers, DI boxes and other studio or stage gear. The cable is 1.5m long, so it suits shorter runs where you want a tidy connection without slack to manage. Both connectors are die-cast for a solid feel and a firm hold in the socket.

We build the lead around a 6mm diameter cable with pure copper conductors, using 15 strands of 0.1mm wire per core for good signal transfer. The braided shielding helps keep hum and interference out of the audio, while the cotton reinforcement adds strength inside the jacket. The outer is a soft-grip, rubberised sleeve that resists tangles and coils back neatly after use.

The connections are machine-soldered for consistency, which helps the lead stand up to regular plugging and unplugging on the road or in the studio. The 6.3mm TRS jack (a quarter-inch stereo or balanced jack) carries a balanced mono signal when paired with the female XLR, so you keep noise down over the run. It is a straightforward, hard-wearing choice for anyone linking balanced sources and destinations at a fixed length.
