Description

The Citronic XF-M6J600BK is a fully shielded microphone and audio lead built for unbalanced signals. It runs from a female XLR connector at one end to a 6.3mm mono jack plug at the other, making it a practical choice for connecting microphones, mixers and other audio gear. At 6.0m long, it gives you enough reach for stage and studio setups without excess cable to manage.

Sound quality and reliability come down to the build. Inside, the lead uses pure copper conductors, with two lots of 20-strand 0.1mm wire, plus cotton reinforcement to help it stand up to regular use. The connections are machine-soldered for consistency, and the die-cast XLR female connector and 6.3mm mono jack plug (also called a 1/4-inch jack in the US) are made to a professional standard. Full shielding keeps interference out of your signal.

The outer jacket is a soft-grip, rubberised finish that resists tangles, so coiling and storing the lead between uses is straightforward. The cable measures 6.0mm in diameter, giving a good balance between flexibility and durability. In matt black, it stays discreet on stage and blends in with most other kit. Whether you are running a live set, recording in the studio or setting up a PA, this lead does its job cleanly and without fuss.
