Description

This Citronic microphone lead runs from a female XLR connector to a 6.3mm mono jack plug (called a phone jack in the US), giving you a 3.0 metre cable for unbalanced signals. It's built for microphone and general audio work where you need a reliable connection between kit that uses XLR and quarter-inch jack sockets. The full length is fully shielded, which helps keep interference out of the signal.

Inside, the cable uses pure copper conductors, two runs of 20-strand 0.1mm wire, with cotton reinforcement for added strength. The outer jacket is a soft-grip rubberised finish that resists tangling and is easy to coil away after use. Connections are machine-soldered rather than hand-finished, giving consistent joins at both ends, and the connectors are professional die-cast rather than plastic, so they hold up to repeated plugging and unplugging.

The overall cable diameter is 6.0mm, which keeps it flexible without feeling flimsy. The female XLR end suits microphones and mixer outputs, while the 6.3mm mono jack works with amplifiers, powered speakers and many instrument inputs. It comes in black, so it stays discreet on stage or in a studio. At 3.0 metres it gives enough reach for most fixed setups while staying tidy underfoot.
