Description

The Citronic USB2+1 is a desktop USB audio interface (soundcard) built for computer-based recording. It gives you two independent microphone inputs on combination XLR/jack sockets, plus a separate 6.3mm instrument jack input, so you can record vocals and a guitar or bass at the same time. Each input has its own gain control, and there is switchable +48V phantom power on the XLR inputs for condenser microphones.

Monitoring is straightforward. You can plug headphones into the stereo 6.3mm jack, or connect powered monitor speakers via the L+R RCA line outputs on the rear. There is also an inbuilt echo effect with its own control if you want a little extra on your signal. Mic1, Mic2, Inst3, Effect and Monitor controls are all on the front panel, so adjustments stay within easy reach as you work.

The interface runs on 5V drawn straight from your computer over the USB type-C socket at the rear, and a 1.5m USB type-C to type-A lead is supplied. Two-way digital audio runs at a 48kHz, 16-bit sampling format with a 100dB A-weighted dynamic range and 10Hz to 30kHz frequency response. At 160 x 110 x 57mm and 529g, it sits neatly on a desk and suits project studios and DAW recording setups where you want simple, flexible input options.
