Description

The Citronic TU4-N is a true diversity UHF wireless microphone system with four individually programmable channels. Each channel syncs wirelessly to its transmitter to set the carrier frequency, EQ, transmission power and even the display backlight colour, so you can identify each channel at a glance. Both receiver and transmitter settings are programmed via a front panel full colour TFT display with a rotary encoder, and each channel has its own backlit display that matches the transmitter and syncs over an IR connection. This avoids fiddling with multiple controls on each transmitter.

This set is supplied as four bodypacks, each with a choice of neckband or lavalier (lapel) microphones, all with fully balanced signal connection. Every channel has an independent 7-band EQ, and outputs are provided as individual XLRs or a single mixed jack. The twin BNC antennas (aerials) connect at the rear of the receiver, or to the front panel when the unit is 19" rack-mounted using the supplied BNC extension cables. An auto frequency sweep function helps you find clear channels quickly, and each channel is tuneable within the license-free UHF and regulated duplex gap bands, arranged in 8 groups of 8 to 16 carrier frequencies.

Operation on 863 to 865MHz is license-free in the UK and EU. Additional channel 65 frequencies (823 to 832MHz) can be used with a PMSE license for extra flexibility. Wireless range is up to 60m, and two AA batteries are supplied per transmitter. The TU-series is built as a reliable, adaptable system for stage performances, conferences, theatrical productions and general vocal duties where several microphones need to run together.

Is the TU4-N license-free in the UK?

Yes. Operation on the 863 to 865MHz band is license-free in the UK and EU. The additional channel 65 frequencies (823 to 832MHz) require a PMSE license.

What microphones come with the bodypacks?

Each of the four bodypack transmitters is supplied with both a neckband and a lavalier (lapel) microphone, all using fully balanced signal connection.

How do the outputs work?

You can take individual XLR outputs for each channel, or use a single mixed jack output to send all channels down one cable.

What is the wireless range?

The system offers a wireless range of up to 60m, depending on the environment and any obstructions between transmitter and receiver.

Can it be rack-mounted?
