Description

The Citronic SUBCASA-18BA is an 18" low frequency driver built for high power handling in medium to large PA systems. It carries a 4 Ohm impedance and a rated 600Wrms power handling, with a large diameter voice coil and a reinforced cone to keep things stable under load. This is a bare driver (the raw speaker unit, without a cabinet), so it fits into your own build or an existing enclosure.

We designed this driver as a direct replacement for the CASA series active sub cabinets, so if you need to service or refresh one of those units it drops straight in. The construction pairs a reinforced paper cone with a steel frame basket, giving the driver the rigidity it needs for sustained low end work. That steel basket keeps the assembly true and helps the cone hold its shape when it is pushing air hard.

This is a sub driver aimed at ported or folded horn cabinets, where the enclosure loading adds real weight and reach to the low frequencies. Fitted into the right box, it delivers high energy sub bass and strong dynamics for live sound and installed rigs. If you build your own subs, the 4 Ohm impedance and 600Wrms rating make it straightforward to match with a suitable amplifier. Note that this is a component driver, so you will need an enclosure and the wiring to complete the fit.
