Description

The Citronic SMH45 is a suspension shock mount built to hold recording microphones and keep them steady while you work. It suits mics with a body diameter between 43mm and 47mm, so it fits a good range of studio and broadcast microphones. The mount cradles the mic in an elasticated suspension, which helps isolate it from knocks, vibrations and other physical factors that can cause unwanted noise on your recording.

A standard 5/8" thread lets you fit the SMH45 to most common mic stands and boom arms. If you use a stand with a 3/8" thread, a simple adapter (thread reducer) will do the job. The angle adjustable pivot means you can tilt the mic to the position you need, whether you are seated at a desk, standing at a boom, or setting up for a fixed recording session.

The frame is made from metal, so it stands up to regular handling in the studio or on the road. By suspending the microphone rather than clamping it solid, the mount reduces the low rumble and thumps that travel up through a stand when someone moves nearby or a floor creaks.
