Description

This Citronic audio lead connects two 6.3mm stereo TRS jack plugs across a 1.5m length, giving you a reliable link between balanced audio gear or for stereo signal runs. The die-cast jack plugs are built for regular use, and the shielded cable helps keep interference out of your signal. A jack plug is the same thing whether you call it a jack or a phone plug, so it works with the standard 6.3mm (quarter-inch) sockets found on mixers, amplifiers and stage boxes.

Inside, the cable uses pure copper conductors, each made from 20 strands at 0.1mm diameter, with cotton reinforcement for added strength. The connections are machine-soldered for consistency, and the 6mm outer diameter keeps the lead flexible without feeling flimsy. The rubberised jacket has a soft-grip, anti-tangle finish, so the cable coils cleanly and stays out of your way during setup and pack-down.

At 1.5m the lead suits short runs between nearby units, such as a mixer to a powered speaker or an audio interface to studio monitors. The TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) design carries balanced mono or stereo signals, which cuts down on noise over the run. It's a straightforward, hard-wearing choice for studios, rehearsal spaces and live rigs where you need a dependable connection that stands up to being moved and rewired often.

Frequently Asked

What does TRS mean?

TRS stands for tip-ring-sleeve. The plug has three contact points, letting it carry either a balanced mono signal or a stereo signal, which helps reduce noise on the run.

Is this the same as a quarter-inch jack?

Yes. A 6.3mm jack is the same as a quarter-inch jack, the standard size used on many mixers, amplifiers and audio interfaces.

How long is the lead?

The lead measures 1.5m, which suits short connections between nearby equipment.

What are the conductors made of?

Each conductor uses pure copper, made up of 20 strands at 0.1mm diameter, with cotton reinforcement for extra strength.

Will this work for balanced audio?

Yes. The TRS jack plugs carry balanced mono signals, which is useful for cutting interference on longer or noisier runs.

What is the cable diameter?

The outer cable diameter is 6mm, keeping the lead flexible while remaining hard-wearing.
