Description

The Citronic S6J-XM1200 is a 12 metre balanced audio lead with a 6.3mm stereo TRS jack plug (also called a quarter-inch jack in the US) at one end and a male XLR connector at the other. It suits balanced connections between mixers, active speakers, DI boxes and other pro audio gear, where the extra length gives you room to route cable around a stage or studio without pulling anything tight.

Both connectors are die-cast for durability, with machine-soldered connections for consistent contact. Inside, the cable uses two conductors of 20-strand 0.1mm pure copper, plus cotton reinforcement and full shielding to keep interference out over the run. The pin-out follows the standard balanced layout: pin 1 to sleeve, pin 2 to tip and pin 3 to ring, so it works straight away with balanced equipment.

The outer jacket is a soft-grip, rubberised material that resists tangling and coils back easily for storage. At 6mm in diameter the cable stays flexible enough to handle without feeling flimsy, and it holds up to repeated setup and pack-down. If you need a reliable balanced lead for regular use on gigs or in a fixed install, this is a straightforward choice.

Both the 6.3mm TRS jack and the XLR are die-cast, with machine-soldered connections for reliable contact.

What is inside the cable?

Two conductors of 20-strand 0.1mm pure copper, with cotton reinforcement and shielding to reduce interference over the length of the run.

What can I connect it to?

Use it for balanced links between mixers, active speakers, DI boxes and other pro audio equipment fitted with TRS jack and XLR inputs or outputs.

How thick is the cable?
