Description

This Citronic audio lead extends your existing 6.3mm connection with a shielded, high quality cable that keeps signal loss to a minimum. It carries a die-cast 6.3mm stereo TRS jack plug (also called a 1/4 inch jack) at one end and a matching 6.3mm stereo TRS jack socket at the other, so you can add three metres of reach to instruments, mixers, headphones and other stereo or balanced gear.

The cable measures 6mm in diameter and uses two runs of 20-strand, 0.1mm pure copper conductors for clean signal transfer. Cotton reinforcement adds strength inside the jacket, while the outer layer is a soft-grip, rubberised finish that resists tangling and stays flexible in use. Connections are machine-soldered for consistent, repeatable joins across the run.

The TRS format handles balanced mono or stereo signals, making this a practical choice on stage, in the studio or at home. The socket end lets you join two leads together or reposition equipment without buying a whole new cable. At three metres it covers most desk-to-amp and pedalboard runs while staying easy to coil and store between sessions.

Frequently Asked

What does TRS mean on this lead?

TRS stands for tip, ring, sleeve. It allows the 6.3mm jack to carry balanced mono signals or two-channel stereo, unlike a standard TS jack which only carries unbalanced mono.

Is this a 1/4 inch jack lead?

Yes. 6.3mm and 1/4 inch refer to the same connector size, so this lead fits standard 6.3mm jack inputs and outputs.

Why does it have a socket at one end?

The 6.3mm socket lets you extend an existing lead or join two cables together, adding three metres of reach without replacing your current cable.

How long is the cable?

The lead is 3.0 metres long, suitable for most desk-to-amp, headphone and pedalboard connections.

What conductors are used inside?

It uses two runs of 20-strand, 0.1mm pure copper conductors with cotton reinforcement, housed in a 6mm diameter shielded jacket.
