Description

This is a retro style guitar lead from Citronic, covered in a nylon braid that gives it a classic look while adding a bit of protection to the cable inside. It works for guitars, other instruments and general audio jobs that carry an unbalanced (mono) signal. The braiding is the main feature here, and it helps keep the lead from tangling when you're coiling it up or moving it around.

Inside, the cable uses pure copper conductors made up of 13 strands at 0.12mm each, with cotton reinforcement to help it hold up over time. The outer jacket is a soft-grip, rubberised finish that stays flexible and resists knots and kinks. The connections are machine-soldered and the plugs are professional die-cast 6.3mm mono jacks, so one end is a right-angled jack and the other is a straight jack. In the US a jack plug is often called a 1/4-inch plug, and either way this covers standard instrument and amp inputs.

The lead measures 3m long with a cable diameter of 6.6mm, which gives you room to move without leaving too much slack underfoot. The right-angled plug sits neatly against a guitar body and takes some strain off the socket. This version comes in blue and white, and the range is offered in various colours if you want something to match your gear or tell your leads apart on stage.
