Description

The Citronic Q-PAD is a compact mixer built for live sets, project studios and podcasting. It runs from the rear USB Type-C connection, so there's no need for a separate power supply, and the same port doubles as a USB audio interface for recording and playback straight from a PC. A USB-C power adaptor with a UK plug is included in the box if you'd rather run it from the mains.

Two mono channels take either an XLR input for a microphone or a 6.3mm jack for line or instrument use, switchable per channel. Each has individually switchable +48V phantom power for condenser microphones, and both can be routed to the built-in delay effect for echo. A third stereo line channel accepts 6.3mm jacks, or a single jack for mono working. Every channel has its own gain control plus bass and treble EQ, so you can shape each source on its own.

For playback there's a USB Type-A port that reads mp3 and wma files from a pen drive (USB stick), and the media player has a Bluetooth receiver built in for wireless streaming from a phone or tablet. Outputs cover main left and right jacks, a stereo headphone (phones) jack and RCA (phono) record outputs. At 182 x 160 x 50mm and 453g it fits easily into a gig bag or onto a crowded desk, making it a practical choice for laptop DJs and anyone working in a tight space.
