Description

The Citronic POP5 is a round pop screen (also called a pop filter or pop shield) that fits between you and a studio microphone. It reduces the plosive bursts of air that come from hard 'p' and 'b' sounds, which otherwise hit the capsule and cause an unwanted thump on the recording. The screen measures 125mm across and uses a dual-layer design to catch that air before it reaches the mic.

Fitting is straightforward. A flexible gooseneck clamps to your mic stand and holds the screen in place, and because the neck bends freely you can move the shield to whatever position works best for the singer or speaker. Once set, it stays put, so you can angle it closer to the mic or further from the mouth to find the balance between clear diction and plosive control.

The POP5 suits home studios, podcast setups and vocal booths where a mic is already mounted on a stand. It works with most standard studio microphones and adds a simple layer of protection that keeps recordings cleaner and cuts down on time spent editing out pops.
