Description

The Citronic MagicPAR-80B is a fanless PAR can (uplighter/wash light) built around 12 x 12W 6-in-1 RGBWA/UV LEDs. Because it runs without a fan, it stays completely silent, which makes it a sensible choice for places of worship, study spaces and any room where noise would be a problem. Heat is dealt with using a range of internal and external heatsinks, so the fixture keeps its cool while still throwing out bright, colourful washes. The 25° beam angle suits both spot uplighting and broader coverage across a stage or wall.

You can run the unit however suits your setup. There are internal auto, sound-activated and static programs that you control from the panel on the back, or you can use the supplied IR remote (US: RF remote) if you would rather adjust things from a distance. For larger rigs, the MagicPAR-80B works over DMX-512 with a choice of 6 or 10 channel modes, connected via 3-pin XLR in and out. This makes it easy to link several fixtures together and control them from a lighting desk.

Build quality is a strong point here. The heavy duty metal chassis and stand/bracket give the fixture real strength and rigidity, and the twist and lock power connections on the back let you daisy-chain units securely. Power runs on AC100-240V at a consumption of 80W, and the whole thing weighs 2.21kg with dimensions of 210 x 210 x 185mm. The MagicPAR-80B is part of a wider range and comes in black, with a white version also available, so you can match the fixture to your room.
