Description

The Citronic LFHF-CM12 is a dual coaxial speaker driver that pairs a high power main woofer with a concentric high frequency (HF) driver. The tweeter (US) or HF unit sits behind a mesh dust cap at the centre of the cone, so both frequency bands share the same acoustic axis. This gives you full range output from a single 12 inch driver, with phase alignment kept intact across the crossover point.

We supply this as a direct replacement for the CM-series active and passive wedge monitors. It handles 300W and comes in two impedance versions to suit your setup: 4ohm for CM active cabinets and 8ohm for CM passive cabinets. The coaxial layout works well for foldback (stage monitor) and PA duties, where a wide, even dispersion matters more than sheer size.

Because the woofer (US) or bass driver and the HF unit are concentric, you get a tighter, more coherent sound than you would from separate drivers spaced apart on a baffle. That coherence is useful on a monitor wedge, where the performer sits close to the cabinet and off-axis colouration can be a problem. If you are rebuilding or repairing a CM-series wedge, this driver drops straight in without any modification to the enclosure. Check the impedance on your existing cabinet before ordering so the replacement matches the amplifier or crossover already fitted.
