Description
The Citronic H2400 is a lightweight power amplifier built into a 19" rack-mountable housing, made for generating high sound pressure levels in medium to large sound reinforcement systems. It uses a hybrid class-H circuit design, which pairs the efficiency of a digitally controlled power section with the power delivery and stability of a professional class-H output stage. The result is dependable service and good sound quality for sound contractors and PA installers who need dynamic power on demand.
The power section is digitally controlled and monitored, with a backlit LCD status display that continually shows supply voltage, internal temperature and output level. Comprehensive internal protection watches for thermal and overload conditions, automatically mutes at power on and off, and provides active inrush limiting. The amplifier is stable down to 2 ohms, or 4 ohms when bridged. It can be set to work in Stereo, Parallel or Bridge modes to suit different setups.
A fully balanced signal path offers three switchable input sensitivity levels, so you can match the amplifier to different audio sources. A switchable 120Hz low-pass filter (also called a crossover) can be selected for use with subwoofers, which avoids the need for a separate crossover and saves you money and rack space. Speaker outputs connect using one or two Speakon leads as required. Frequency response runs from 20Hz to 20KHz at ±0.5dB, with THD+N of 0.2%, an S/N ratio of -95dB and a damping factor above 700.

Frequently Asked
What power does the H2400 deliver?
The H2400 delivers 2x900W into 4 ohms. It is stable down to 2 ohms, and 4 ohms when run in bridged mode.
Do I need a separate crossover for subwoofers?
No. The H2400 has a switchable 120Hz low-pass filter you can select for subwoofer use, which saves the expense and rack space of a separate crossover.
What operating modes does it support?
The amplifier section can be set to run in Stereo, Parallel or Bridge modes to match your setup.
How do I connect speakers?
Speaker outputs can be connected using one or two Speakon leads, depending on your requirements.
What protection features are built in?
It has short/open circuit, thermal, RF and DC fault protection, on/off mute, and active inrush limiting, all monitored internally.
What input sensitivity options are available?
There are three switchable input sensitivity levels: 1.0V, 1.4V and 2.0V, so you can match different audio sources.
