Description

The Citronic DMC03 is a dynamic microphone built for vocals and recording work. It uses a unidirectional capsule, which picks up sound from the front and rejects noise coming in from the sides and rear. That makes it a sensible choice for live vocals, home recording and general spoken word, where you want the voice to come through clearly without too much background bleed.

Construction is all-metal, so it stands up to regular handling and the odd knock. An on/off slide switch sits on the body, letting you mute the mic without reaching for the mixer. The frequency response runs from 50Hz to 15kHz, with a sensitivity of -74dB (±3dB) and an impedance of 600 Ohms. Connection is via a standard XLRM (three-pin male) output, so it works with any mixer or interface that takes a balanced mic input.

Everything you need to get started comes in the box. There's a 5m XLRF to 6.3mm mono jack lead, which is handy if you're plugging straight into an amp or a jack input rather than an XLR socket. You also get a microphone holder (also called a mic clip) and a thread adaptor to fit different stands, plus an ABS flight case to keep it all together between sessions. The mic measures 170mm long with a 50mm diameter head and weighs 310g.
