Description

The Citronic CPD-9 is a 19" 1U rack mountable power distributor that gives you a tidy way to feed power to the rest of your rack. It provides nine IEC outlets in total: eight mounted on the rear panel and one on the front, so you can wire in your amplifiers, mixers and other gear from a single incoming supply. At 482 x 178 x 44mm and 2.6kg, it takes up a single rack space and slots into any standard 19" case.

The front panel keeps you informed and helps you work in low light. A digital voltmeter shows the incoming line voltage, so you can keep an eye on the mains as you run your system. Two front mounted 3W LED lamps light up the rack, and a dimmer control lets you set the brightness to suit the room. Whether you call it a mains lead or a power cord, everything routes through one unit rather than a tangle of separate plugs.

Protection is built in. The CPD-9 includes surge protection to guard your connected equipment against spikes on the line, and a 10A circuit breaker that trips if the load is drawn too hard. It runs from a 230Vac, 50Hz supply with a maximum output current of 10A across the outlets. For anyone building a rack for a studio, stage or install, this gives you a clear, controlled point for switching and distributing power.
