The Citronic CPD-8C is a 19" 1U rack mountable power conditioner built to protect your gear from the mess that comes down the mains line. It carries eight rear mounted IEC power outlets and a 10A capacity backed by a circuit breaker, so you can run a full rack of audio, video or computer equipment from a single tidy unit. At 482 x 178 x 44mm and 2.6kg, it sits neatly in a standard rack (US: rack unit) and keeps your cabling organised.

The main job here is clean power. An RFI/EMI interference filter stops noise from fluorescent lights, certain dimmers and similar sources of electronic pollution getting into the AC line and leaking into sensitive circuits. Alongside that, the CPD-8C gives you surge and voltage spike protection, guarding connected kit against sudden jumps in the mains supply. It runs from a 230Vac, 50Hz supply, which suits UK and European setups.
