Description

This Citronic guitar lead uses a nylon braid to keep the cable tidy and protected while you play or move around a stage. The braiding resists tangling, which is handy when you are coiling and uncoiling leads between sessions. It carries an unbalanced signal, so it suits guitars, basses and other instruments as well as general audio connections that use a 6.3mm (quarter-inch) mono jack. The 3m length gives you enough room to move without leaving too much cable on the floor.

Inside the jacket you get pure copper conductors built from 13 strands of 0.12mm wire, with cotton reinforcement to add strength. The soft-grip rubberised outer jacket feels comfortable in the hand and helps the lead sit flat rather than kinking. Connections are machine-soldered for consistency, and both ends use professional die-cast straight 6.3mm mono jack plugs. The overall cable diameter is 6.6mm, which keeps it flexible while still feeling solid.

The retro-style colour options let you match your gear or just pick something that stands out, and this version comes in a black and blue braid. It works as an instrument lead, patch lead or general signal cable wherever a mono jack (US phone plug) connection is needed. If you play regularly and want a lead that holds up to repeated coiling, the braided outer and reinforced core are made with that kind of use in mind.

Frequently Asked

What connectors does this lead use?

It has two straight 6.3mm (quarter-inch) mono jack plugs, one at each end, made from professional die-cast connectors.

Is this a balanced or unbalanced lead?

It is an unbalanced lead, which is standard for guitars, basses and most instrument connections using a mono jack.

How long is the cable?

This version is 3m long, giving you room to move without leaving excess cable on the floor.

What is the cable made from?

It uses pure copper conductors of 13 strands at 0.12mm each, with cotton reinforcement and a soft-grip rubberised jacket under the nylon braid.

Will the braiding stop the lead tangling?

The anti-tangle nylon braid helps the cable stay tidy and resists knotting when you coil and uncoil it, and it also protects the cable within.

Can I use this for audio as well as instruments?

Yes. It works for guitars, basses and other instruments, plus general audio connections that use a 6.3mm mono jack.
