Description
Our Classic Braided Guitar Lead is a retro-style instrument cable built for guitars, basses and other audio gear running unbalanced (mono) signals. The nylon braid outer keeps the lead from tangling on stage or in the studio, and adds a layer of protection for the cable inside. It carries a 6.3mm (1/4 inch) right angled mono jack plug at one end and a straight 6.3mm mono jack plug at the other, so you can plug into your instrument at a low profile and reach your amp or pedalboard without stress on the socket.
Inside the braid, pure copper conductors handle the signal, with cotton reinforcement adding strength and a soft-grip, rubberised jacket giving the whole lead a comfortable feel. The connections are machine-soldered and fitted with professional die-cast metal plugs, which hold up to regular plugging and unplugging. This version is finished in black, though the range comes in a choice of retro colours if you want to match your kit or tell your leads apart.
The cable measures 6.6mm in diameter and uses a 13-strand, 0.12mm pure copper conductor. This is the 3.0m length, which suits most players moving around a small stage or working at a desk. A 6.0m length is also available in the range for larger spaces or when you need more room between your instrument and amp. Note that a jack plug is the same thing as a jack connector, so if you have seen either term, this lead covers it.

Frequently Asked
What connectors does this lead use?
One straight 6.3mm (1/4 inch) mono jack plug and one right angled 6.3mm mono jack plug. Both are professional die-cast metal.
Is this a balanced or unbalanced lead?
It is an unbalanced (mono) lead, which is standard for electric guitars, basses and most instrument connections.
What lengths are available?
This lead comes in 3.0m and 6.0m lengths. This listing is for the 3.0m version.
Why is it braided?
The nylon braid outer resists tangling and adds protection for the copper cable inside, which helps the lead last longer with regular use.
Can I use it with a keyboard or other audio gear?
Yes. It works with any instrument or audio device that uses 6.3mm mono jack connections and needs an unbalanced signal.
