Description

The Citronic CEQ215 is a dual 15-band graphic equaliser built into a 19" 1U rackmount chassis. Each channel gives you 15 faders set to 2/3 octave ISO spacing, covering labelled frequencies from 25Hz up to 16kHz. Every band offers up to 12dB of cut or boost, so you can shape the audio spectrum with a good level of accuracy across both channels independently.

Inputs are RF filtered and servo-balanced, which helps keep unwanted interference out of the signal path. Each band uses constant Q, meaning the width of the filter stays the same regardless of how much you cut or boost. That gives you predictable control when you adjust a fader. A bypass switch on each channel lets you compare the equalised sound against the original, and a low-cut switch removes unwanted low-frequency content when you need it. Gain control on each channel and LED VU meters (US: VU meters) help you set levels and keep an eye on what the unit is doing.

The CEQ215 handles a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz with total harmonic distortion (THD) of 0.005% and a signal to noise ratio above 102dB. Balanced input impedance is 40k Ohms, with unbalanced at 20k Ohms, and output impedance sits at 330 Ohms for both. It runs from a 115/230Vac supply via an IEC connector. At 482 x 44 x 138mm and 2.0kg, it fits a standard rack and stays out of the way in live and installed systems.

Frequently Asked

How many bands does each channel have?

Each of the two channels has 15 bands, set to 2/3 octave ISO spacing. They cover labelled frequencies from 25Hz up to 16kHz.

How much cut or boost can I apply?

Each band gives up to 12dB of cut or boost, so you have plenty of room to shape the sound without pushing the fader to extremes.

What does the constant Q feature do?

Constant Q keeps the filter width the same whether you cut or boost a band. This makes the response more predictable as you adjust each fader.

Can I compare the equalised and original sound?

Yes. Each channel has a bypass switch, which lets you hear the signal with the EQ in and out for a direct comparison.

What size rack space does it need?

The CEQ215 is a 19" 1U unit measuring 482 x 44 x 138mm and weighing 2.0kg, so it fits a single rack space.

What power supply does it use?

It runs from a 115/230Vac, 50/60Hz supply connected through an IEC socket.
