Description

The Citronic CASE8:2 is a combo flightcase built to carry, protect and store your DJ and disco gear. It gives you a 2U section for a power amplifier and an 8U section for a mixer, so you can keep a working setup together in one case. It's made from vinyl laminated 9mm plywood with aluminium location strips that add rigidity, which is what you want when a case is being loaded in and out of vehicles and venues on a regular basis.

We've fitted it with the hardware you'd expect from a working road case: heavy duty flip handles, steel ball corners, butterfly catches that take padlocks, and large rubber feet. The top and front covers detach when you need full access, and there's a rear hinged access panel with a circular cut-out to route your power lead. A 2U blanking panel sits above the amplifier space to tidy things off. It comes with M6 captive nuts, bolts and plastic washers so you can mount your equipment straight away.

The external dimensions are 555 x 360 x 530mm and the case weighs 14kg empty. The 19" rack format (sometimes called a 19-inch rack in the US) is the standard for amplifiers and mixers, so most rack-mount gear will fit the mounting rails without any modification. It's a straightforward, solidly built case for anyone running mobile disco or PA equipment who wants a single unit that holds both amp and mixer.
