Description

The Citronic CASA-8A is a full-range active PA speaker (or loudspeaker) built around an 8" driver and a high efficiency class D bi-amplifier section, rated at 200W RMS. The moulded cabinet is designed to take knocks, with side and top handles for carrying and a 35mm pole mount socket so you can raise it on a speaker stand or pole. It suits mobile DJs, small live acts and general sound reinforcement where you need portable, self-powered sound.

A built-in DSP controller gives you five switchable output profiles: Normal, DJ, Voice, Live and Flat. Each is tuned for different program material, so you can match the speaker to music playback, spoken word or a live band without carrying extra processing. Connections are handled through combi XLR/jack inputs with mic/line level switching, plus RCA line inputs for connecting a mixer, media player or phone. A balanced XLR line output lets you link to a second cabinet or feed a subwoofer.

The onboard audio module plays files directly from USB or SD media, and pairs over Bluetooth for wireless streaming from a phone, tablet or laptop. That makes the CASA-8A a workable standalone system for background music or announcements without needing an external source. It runs on 230Vac 50Hz mains through an IEC connector. For larger setups, the cabinet pairs with the CASA series sub cabinets to add low-end weight for higher energy events. Whether used as a single point source or part of a bigger rig, it covers a wide range of PA jobs from one compact box.

What do the five DSP profiles do?

Can I connect a microphone directly?

Yes. The combi XLR/jack inputs include mic/line level switching, so you can plug a microphone straight in or use a line source. RCA line inputs are also provided.
