Description

The Citronic CASA-28B is a compact passive subwoofer cabinet built for mobile PA work and fixed installations. It houses two 200mm (8") sub drivers in a slim profile enclosure, handling 300W RMS and up to 600W maximum. A switchable low pass filter or full-range input lets you set it up to suit your system, with a crossover at 120Hz using a 12dB/octave slope.

Connection is straightforward. You feed one of the pair of twist-lock SPK sockets at the rear from your amplifier, and the second SPK connector can pass through to a further passive top or sub cabinet wired in parallel. The cabinet has a 35mm pole mount socket, so you can lay it flat to take a full-range speaker on a pole, or stand it upright when you want a smaller footprint. The slim dimensions also make it easy to tuck behind or under furnishings in a permanent install.

Construction is 15mm MDF finished in a hard-wearing polyurea coating, with an integral carry handle for moving it around. The cabinet measures 475 x 450 x 250mm and weighs 15.5kg. Frequency response runs from 55 to 150Hz, and total impedance is 4 Ohms, with each driver rated at 8 Ohms. It gives you the low-end support to fill out a full-range rig without taking up much space.
