Description

The Citronic CASA-210BA is an active subwoofer cabinet with a built-in amplifier, made for both mobile and fixed sound reinforcement work. It runs twin 10" (250mm) woofers driven by an internal 600Wrms class-D amplifier, with a maximum output of 1100W. The frequency response covers 55 to 150Hz, so it handles the low end while your full-range speakers deal with the rest. Preset DSP filtering keeps the amplifier section focused on those low frequencies and drives the drivers cleanly.

The two-channel design is one of the more useful parts of this cabinet. It has independent in and out connections for two channels, each with its own level control, so you can set the sub content separately for the left and right sides. This lets you build a 2.1 system with two full-range cabinets fed from the sub's outputs. A phase switch is fitted to help correct time-alignment or out-of-phase situations, and there is a flat/boost control plus frequency and subwoofer level adjustment on the panel.

Inputs are 2 x balanced XLR / 6.3mm jack combi, with 2 x balanced XLR outputs. The cabinet is built from 15mm MDF with a hard-wearing polyurea finish, and it measures 690 x 480 x 305mm at 31.0kg. There is an integral carry handle and a 35mm pole mount socket, so you can lay it flat to accept a pole and mount a full-range speaker on top, or stand it upright for a narrower footprint. That narrow form also makes it a sensible choice for discreet fixed installs.

Does the CASA-210BA need a separate amplifier?

No. It has an internal 600Wrms class-D amplifier, so you connect your signal source directly. Only a mains power lead is needed.

Can I build a 2.1 system with it?

Yes. The two independent channels have inputs and outputs, letting you pass full-range signals through to two satellite speakers while the sub handles the low frequencies.

What connections does it use?
