Description

The Citronic CASA-18B is a passive subwoofer cabinet built for portable PA and sound reinforcement work. Each cabinet is made from 15mm MDF with a hard-wearing texture polyurea paint finish, keeping the weight down while standing up to regular transport and setup. The compact footprint makes it easy to fit into vans and tight stage spaces, and two side carry handles help with lifting and positioning.

At the heart of the cabinet is a high-flex 18" sub driver, front-loaded behind a protective steel grille. It handles 600W RMS and delivers strong transients with plenty of low-end warmth to fill out any system. A 35mm pole mount socket lets you stack a top cabinet directly above the sub, and the 18" model also includes mounting points for castors (sold separately) if you prefer to wheel it around.

Connection is straightforward. Output from your power amplifier runs to the rear panel via two Speakon sockets (SPK), with a choice of low pass filtered or direct input so you can set up crossover duties to suit your rig. The internal filter is a 120Hz low pass at 12dB per octave, and the cabinet presents an 8 Ohm load. The CASA-18B is a natural match for the wider CASA range of PA cabinets, and works just as well as the low end in any high-energy setup.
