Description

The Citronic CASA-15BA is an active subwoofer built for portable sound systems that need low end without a heavy load to carry. The cabinet is made from 15mm MDF with a polyurea texture paint finish, and its compact shape keeps things manageable in the boot and on stage. Two side carry handles make it easy to lift and position, while a 35mm pole mount socket lets you sit a top speaker directly above the sub for a tidy stereo setup.

Inside is a class D amplifier delivering 500Wrms, paired with a high flex, front-loaded sub driver protected by a steel grille. This front-firing layout gives you strong transients and adds warmth to the overall sound. The amplifier section runs on 230Vac (IEC) and has balanced XLR line inputs and outputs, so you can run the CASA-15BA as a mono sub with stereo tops or use one sub per top speaker. A parallel link output passes the signal on to further active speakers down the chain.

The line outputs include a switchable high pass filter (crossover) to feed your active top cabinets only the frequencies they need, leaving the sub to handle the bass. A phase switch helps you avoid sound cancellation and time-align multiple speakers in larger setups. Controls cover output level, phase and the high pass crossover. It is designed as a match for the CASA series speakers but works just as well with other active full range cabinets. The 15" and 18" models also include mounting points for castors if you prefer to wheel the sub into place.
